DISCONNECT TO CONNECT

At first thought, dying without knowing Jesus is the worst thing that could happen in someone’s life. It’s the worst thing that could happen. But is knowing Jesus enough?

Matthew 7:21-23 says,
21: Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22: On that day many will say to me ‘Lord, Lord’ did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many things in your name?
23: And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you all workers of lawlessness.

In these verses Jesus wants us to know that regardless of calling him at all times and yet still doing your own will, will not assure you entry to the kingdom of heaven. You might know Him but He never knew you. This is one of the most painful words that we can ever hear from the Father. The powerful one not knowing his people because of its doing.

We cannot simply say we are “Connected” to Him but our path is somewhat “Disconnected” to the path He prepared for us.

We cannot simply say we are “Connected” to Him and yet connected to the wrong people.

We cannot simply say we are “Connected” to Him and also connected in this world.

Still we are Disconnected.
Because “the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”(2Cor. 4:4)

But here’s a good thing: 1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Confessing our sins is the very first thing that we need to do. Confessing means you are ready to turn back from your old life and ready to walk as the light-bearer of this world. Confession brings freedom in us.

2 Cor. 3:16-18
16: But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.
17: Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18: And we all with unveiled faces, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed in the same image from one degree to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Freedom of God will set us free from his wrath. We need to be disconnected in this world for us to be connected to God. Start connecting yourself to those people who care about your salvation, not those people who tolerate your bad doings.”
