“11:59PM” - A Deadline Series #Submitted
Have you ever felt the relief of submitting your assignments or deadlines during your job days, or hours earlier? Have you ever felt the joy that comes from finishing all your tasks?
Yes? Sometimes? Never?
Basically, these would be people’s responses especially when they are not focused on what they are tasked with. Or in short, they are not firm with their responsibilities. Hence, they’ll have divided answers.
According to study, meeting the deadline will be difficult for an individual if, in the first place, they are not serious about it and making it their priority.
This just simply implies that for us to become effective in our assignment, we need to be dedicated to it and we also need to focus on what our priorities are.
So, maybe you would ask, how will I be able to make it? Or some would say, I have been trying a lot when it comes to diligence, but honestly, I still fail.
In the context of Christianity, we are being tasked to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything God has commanded. God even added that he will always be with us, even up to the very end of our age (Matthew 28:19-20).
In this situation, we are given assignments. Of course, we react after that. Others would say, it is burdensome, stressful, they can’t do it, they have things to do, and yadda yadda. But for some, it's a serious business. For them, “this is a task given to me, therefore, I have to do it on or before the deadline.” God knows how we will react to it right before He’ll give it to us. The good thing is, He‘s there to guide us up to the end as long as we stick to the great commission.
We also have to remember that our assignments will not be that easy, especially in a tough situation right now. Everything is done online, and as student-disciples, we are expected to exert extra miles of effort compared to when things are done physically. In addition, God assured us that there will be situations along the way where our faith will be tested. He said that in order for us to experience breakthroughs, we must undergo the process of breaking. It is necessary for us as students to experience hardships in our studies in order for us to achieve our goal which is to graduate. Steps such as self-study and on-time submission of tasks to meet deadlines.
I know you still wonder why there are still unanswered questions in your mind, why these things kept happening unto you and why give such tasks when it is unfair on your part.
What I can advise to you who’s reading this,
“We have the freedom to complain, erupt and mumble because it is our right. Despite such situations, always remember that there are better ways in resolving issues. You just have to trust God and allow him to move in your situation.”
We will all be able to submit our deadlines on time with a fulfilled and joyful heart. We just need to decide to do it in an appropriate way.
God may not answer your assignments but He has amazing ways to help you. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, conviction will take place. Instead of complaining, why not do it right away? Why not self-study? As He said in His word, “He will always be here to guide us and He will never leave nor forsake us.”
Furthermore, do not be anxious about the results of your assignments, as long as we know in ourselves that we are doing our best, and everything that we do is to glorify God, then we’re in good terms.
“God sees and appreciates every effort that we exert. Whether we fail or not in the world’s eye, let us always remember that God sees us not on the things that we have done, but based on our identity in Him as sons and daughters.”
Keep going through life no matter what because you are God’s love!
